The International Chodiev Foundation was founded by Dr. Patokh K. Chodiev, a Moscow State Institute of International Relations-University (MGIMO) alumnus of 1976, as a sign of his deep appreciation for the knowledge he had acquired at his alma mater. The goals of the Foundation are to sustain the intellectual potential of MGIMO University, encourage collaboration between universities, foster comprehensive research incentives programs, and support the most gifted university students.
ICF’s activities in the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States are compliant with the joint programs of the MGIMO “International Relations” Foundation and the Association of Schools of International Relations, the latter being initiated among other by ICF.
The Foundation became the first stable source of financing for the target-development programs at MGIMO. This was a way for an alumnus to express his gratitude to his professors and the school, which helped him become a specialist. Since 1996, ICF continued philanthropic involvement through collaboration projects with other NGOs. The Foundation helps publish research works, textbooks, dictionaries, and almanacs in international relations, law, and economy and provides scholarships for participants of the program.
