Dr. Chodiev is one of the founders and shareholders of the Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) - one of the leading diversified natural resources groups with integrated mining, processing, energy, logistical and marketing operations. ENRC is one of the worldwide leaders in production of ferrochrome, alumina and iron ore.
Dr. Chodiev is one of the founders of IMR (International Mineral Resources) - a mining investing company, consolidating assets in production of ferronickel, copper and cobalt in the Balkans, in Zambia and South Africa.
Dr. Chodiev is the member of the board of directors of Eurasian Bank - one of the leading banks of Kazakhstan.
According to Forbes, in 2010 Dr. Chodiev was holding 287th position in the list of billionaires of the world.

Patokh Chodiev was born on April 15 of 1953 in Tashkent.
In 1976 Patokh Chodiev graduated magna cum laude from MGIMO-University with a degree in international law. He holds a Ph.D. in political science is a full member of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and has more than 30 academic publications in history, economics and politics of Japan.
After graduating from the University he worked as a leading specialist in Soviet - Japanese economic relations in the Ministry of Trade of the USSR (1979-1989), as a counselor of the Soviet Trade Representation in Japan (1976-1979) and as a special counselor for the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan (1995-1997).
In 2005 Dr. Chodiev was awarded the Kurmet (Esteem) order by the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan for contributions to social, economic and cultural causes. That year he was also awarded the Abraham Lincoln Medal for Democracy and Economic Freedom.
Dr. Chodiev is a philanthropist. He founded the International Chodiev Foundation with a primary goal of promoting academic excellence, creativity and innovation in Eurasia and Southeast Asia.
Dr. Chodiev is a member of the Board of Trustees of the MGIMO-University under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. He is one of the founders of the first endowment in Russian Federation - The Foundation for Development of MGIMO.
Dr. Chodiev is fluent in Uzbek, Russian, Japanese, and English.
He is married and has a son and two daughters.
