The truth, according to Hegel, is born like heresy and dies like prejudice. But in order to become one, the truth has to be brought to the attention if not of all then to at least to the majority of people. Today, it became more obvious that the efforts of state and international agencies (UN, UNESCO and so on) are not enough to accomplish that. In general, the capacity of an individual to take in information is limited. If on top of that, an individual lives in poverty, he will hardly care about the threat of casualties in the case of a nuclear conflict or an ecologic disaster elsewhere. There is only one way to help humans – the most advanced God’s creation – to think about the matter of things: first of all to bring up the standards of living to a satisfactory and comfortable level, and only then to provide the tools necessary to access information and education.

Right of an informed choice International Chodiev Foundation going strong after ten years

Although not long, ten years is a respectable length of time, especially so for a charitable foundation. The prevailing attitude toward similar structures generally falls into a predictable pattern. If a philanthropic association successfully survives the first two or three years, this usually surprises people, who still tend to question its viability: "There just must be something wrong with it! Let's wait and see. Few of them can last for the long haul." Meanwhile, if a charitable foundation continues to carry out its mission in a sound and confident manner, both well-wishers and skeptics accept it as a reality. The International Chodiev Foundation has approached a threshold where his organization no longer has to prove the seriousness and scope of its intentions. Beyond any doubt, Chodiev's Foundation is a reality, and the results of its efforts speak for themselves.
